I-EA-T Exhibition Smart Industrial City Exhibition with Isometric City
Project to create exhibition media for the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) under the event organizer IDO’S Organizer. MAF handled Art Direction, Animation, Acrylic Model, and Game Design within about “a little over one month” from breaking down a large set of slides to deciding “what to tell at which point and with what type of media” and producing the full set of exhibition boards, infographic animations, and an interactive knowledge game on a touchscreen.

Turn “too much information” into an exhibition people can understand instantly
THE IDEA
The task for this project was to deliver the art direction and all exhibition supporting media in a little over one month. The initial materials we received were a large number of slides that had to be distilled for exhibition storytelling, along with the exhibition layout plan. Our job in one sentence was deciding “what goes where and how to present it with what media and what technology.”
Problems
Constraints: tight timeline huge content multiple media types but everything must feel like one cohesive set
• Extremely short production time (around a little over one month) yet we had to build “the entire exhibition system”
• The source content started as a large slide deck and needed to be distilled and sequenced before presenting
• We had to produce multiple media types at the same time (print digital interactive) but the overall look had to stay consistent as one unified style
Use a “city” as the metaphor and tell the story through isometric to convey a modern industrial estate
We chose the visual metaphor of a “city” as the main anchor (think Sim City) and set the direction as isometric so the story of areas systems and economics could be understood quickly. We then gathered references, presented them to the client, and had the 3D team start researching how to build the project’s “isometric city” immediately.

The color system (Color Palette) became the central structure of the entire project
The Art Director delivered a standard palette used across all media, both print and digital, so the whole exhibition “looks like one brand.”

Work in Progress
After experimenting with many techniques, each part of the work gradually moved forward and problems were solved as the direction became stable and clear. The remaining main task was simply “getting everything done on time.”

*Print mockup: royal initiative wastewater treatment pond model

*Testing a narration sound circuit with blinking LED lights

*Team gluing texture surfaces onto the acrylic model

*Designer defining how the process sorting game works
Final Product
The final outputs were compiled into exhibition board visuals, infographic animations played at the exhibition, and an interactive knowledge game on a touchscreen. Even though we were still polishing until the night before the event, the final result made the team genuinely proud of what we delivered. Special thanks to IDO’S for trusting us to be part of the success of this event.
